I imagine that the last thing you expect to see when you come to a site that is focused on healthy weight loss is an image of a tortoise and a hare!
“Why?” you might ask. Good question!
Well, there is a reason and an important one at that. More than likely, I’d say you have heard the story of the tortoise and the hare – where the slow and steady tortoise beats the fast but slapdash hare in a race. The moral and principle message of this story is of course …
“Slow and steady wins the race”
So how, you might wonder, is that message relevant to the topic of weight loss?
Ask anyone who has successfully lost weight AND kept it off and they will definitely tell you that applying that very principle to the process of losing weight is not only highly relevant, it’s one of the most important weight loss tips you can take on board and follow right now.
That’s probably not what you want to hear as, like so many others, you want to lose weight fast. However, if you are really serious about finding a way to lose weight that is healthy, sustainable and most importantly, maintainable, it’s something you need to accept and adopt in order to lose weight and keep it off once and for all.
Helping You Cross The Weight Loss Finishing Line Sooner
Over the course of the next few blog entries, I am going to explain the exact reasons why, in the long term, losing weight quickly actually leads to weight gain.
I am also going to explain how and whylosing weight in a slow and steady manner leads to a slim and healthy body that you can easily maintain. It’s got to do with your ‘Set Point‘ and how your body actually works. Once you understand what your ‘Set Point‘ is and how to re-set it, you will be pleasantly surprised at just how easy it will be to reach your ideal body weight and maintain it – without starving and without sacrificing your favorite foods.
Now, while this is a ‘slower and steadier’ approach the more common approaches which promise ‘fast weight loss’ but end up causing you to gain more weight in the long term, the key advantage you gain by following this new approach is that once you achieve your ideal body weight, it’s done once and for all!
That means no more weight gain and no more dieting
In fact, as you learn and follow this approach (I will share in my upcoming blog) and learn about the healthy eating plan, I can promise that you won’t even feel like you’re on a diet in the first place. So you can forget about the never ending cycle of yo yo diets you have experienced in the past and put them behind you as you will now be able to cross the finishing line and never have to run the diet race again … seriously!
And you know, as a result of only having to follow this approach once to achieve and maintain your ideal body weight, this ‘slow and steady’ approach actually ends up being the fastest way to lose weight.
More importantly and best of all, what you’re going to pick up here as you continue to follow along is much more than just a list of healthy weight loss tips and strategies … you’re going to have the roadmap for a very healthy lifestyle.
